True Quam
Ever notice that commercials involving high definition televisions or "sexy" electronics portray the male as this kid in a candy store with his female counterpart rolling her eyes in the background as if to say, "Oh, brother!" or "Honey, you know we can't afford that!"
I've never known a woman who was bored or annoyed with cool televisions. Am I missing something here?

The commercial I hate is the Bounty paper towel one where there is a useless husband and a snot nosed kid who spilled something on the floor and are debating on whether it's a 3 sheeter or 4 sheeter clean-up. Of course, Mom, who is a domestic godess and huge Bounty supporter knows it's just a 1 sheeter and goes over and cleans it up for her two males. (and then does a carpet scrubbing demo) VERY annoying to my sense of how the world should be....
That's hilarious!
You would think that commercials would start to loosen up on the "roles" of men and women in the home, but sadly, no.
If I were male, I would be offended, too. They push the stereotype that men are bumbling idiots who know nothing about basic housework and they can they find anything in the grocery store.
In a related story, women don't drink beer. Unless it's the same beer an unaccompanied male is drinking, at which time she will smile and nod approvingly from the other end of the bar.
Why would a woman want to drink a beer?
Or eat a hot fudge sundae?
