Providence stations WHJY and WBRU (the 2 stations I grew up listening to) are unusually fond of Flies in the Vaseline by Stone Temple Pilots. I hear it constantly. I wonder if there is some kind of underground cult thing going on and this song is a signal to its members to stop what they are doing and rush back to the base camp for a human sacrifice.

OMG! STP is constantly being played here! I'm still getting used to the CT radio stations but the few I rotate between always play Vasoline and Big Empty. ALWAYS. What's up with that? "Unusually fond of" is a great way to put it.
In CT, too? Oh, dear.
I'm not the biggest fan of STP, but I don't dislike them. They are kind of like Almond Joy. I don't love it, but I'll eat it.
I hear you loud and clear! STP = Almond Joy.
